Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Our Commitment to Ethical Publishing

IJAREST is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to adhere to these ethical standards. Our policies are based on the guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

👤 Duties of Authors
Originality & Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that submitted work is entirely original. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. Properly cite all sources. Self-plagiarism (republishing previously published work without attribution) is also prohibited.
Multiple Submissions
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable. Authors may not submit the same paper elsewhere while it is under review at IJAREST.
Authorship Criteria
All listed authors must have made significant intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the work. All authors must approve the final version and agree to its submission.
Acknowledgement of Sources
All sources of data, ideas, or financial support must be properly acknowledged. Significant assistance from individuals must be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section.
Data Integrity
Authors must accurately represent their research data. Falsification, fabrication, or selective reporting of data is a serious breach of ethics.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of their research.
Corrections & Retractions
If an author discovers a significant error in a published paper, the author must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in issuing a correction or retraction.
✏ Duties of Editors
Fair Evaluation
Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope — regardless of the authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
Confidentiality
Editors must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher, as appropriate.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must decline from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest with the authors.
Publication Decisions
The editor is responsible for deciding which manuscripts shall be published, based on reviewer recommendations and the journal's editorial policies.
Investigation of Misconduct
Editors must take reasonable measures to investigate allegations of misconduct, and must act proportionately to the severity of the misconduct.
🔍 Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making publication decisions and helps authors improve their manuscripts.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shared or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, supporting arguments for their assessment.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any substantially similar work should be brought to the editor's attention.
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest with the authors, companies, or institutions.
Timeliness
Reviewers should complete reviews within the agreed timeframe. If unable to do so, they must notify the editor promptly.
🏛 Duties of the Publisher
Editorial Independence
KG Publication supports editorial decisions and respects the independence of the editor. Commercial considerations do not influence editorial decisions.
Handling Misconduct
The publisher will take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.
Access to Content
Published content will remain accessible to readers permanently, even if the journal is discontinued.
Research Integrity
The publisher is committed to working with authors and editors to clarify and address allegations of misconduct through appropriate mechanisms.
⚠ Research Misconduct

IJAREST takes a zero-tolerance approach to the following forms of misconduct:

Plagiarism
Presenting another's ideas or work as one's own without proper attribution.
Data Fabrication
Inventing or making up data or results.
Data Falsification
Manipulating data, figures, or images to misrepresent results.
Duplicate Publication
Publishing the same paper (or substantial portions) in multiple journals.
Salami Slicing
Splitting one study into multiple small publications to inflate output.
Ghost / Gift Authorship
Including authors who did not contribute, or excluding those who did.
Undisclosed Conflicts
Failing to declare financial or personal interests that could bias the work.
Image Manipulation
Inappropriately altering images in ways that distort scientific meaning.

Suspected misconduct should be reported to editor@ijarest.org. All allegations will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
