ATTITUDE AND PRACTICES POSSIBILITIES TOWARDS RECYCLING WORN GARMENTS AMONG TEEN AGE GIRLS

Abstract

Disposal of any wastage material nowadays is huge problem of the globe. Because it creates harm to environment,
promotes global warming and affects very badly on the health of every living on the planet earth. That is why Recycling is
immerging remedy in today’s era. The concept of Recycling is applicable to used garment and fabric also. My area of
interest is to find out the ways and means to do so. Used garment and fabric recycling is one of the issues which is to be
addressed in top priority. In this study the initial effort is to check the awareness and attitudes towards recycling of worn and
used garments and fabric wastage among new generation i.e. teenage girls. Data is collected by giving them a series of
questions containing multiple answers regarding recycling of worn and used garments. A small informative presentation also
was done in front of the group and then another part of questionnaire was asked to fill. After analyzing the data, the
conclusion found is that “the generation is very much sensitive to the problems regarding environment, they are interested to
know more about the subject and majority of them want to learn new practices of Recycling worn and used garments and are
eager about generating income through such interesting activity.
