Abstract

The development of transportation plays an important role in the development of nation. With flexible pavement widely used in
India, steps must be taken to increase the life of the pavement. The design of flexible pavement involves the interplay of several
variables, such as the wheel loads, traffic, climate, terrain, and sub-grade conditions. Hence, one needs to address these variables
and their impact on the performance of the flexible pavement. This project studies the suitability of treated coconut fiber as a
reinforcing material for DBM gradation 1. Marshall Method of mix design is adopted by varying the percentage of fibers and
length of fibers. After the study it will be determined that which of the mix will perform best in the given condition.
