Abstract

PMU can improve state estimation accuracy significantly. Hence, system operability can be improved.
Putting PMU at every bus is very costly solution. Here in this paper different Mathematical, Heuristic & Meta
heuristic methods of optimum PMU placement techniques are studied & the result of each method for IEEE-6 Bus &
IEEE-14 bus system are compared to find out optimum numbers PMUs & their location.
