Abstract

Though this paper we will discuss about two new labels YARN and MR2 launched in Hadoop 2.0. We will
observe, What is YARN? Why there was a need of YARN (Yet Another Resource Negotiator), which a new framework
introduced in Hadoop 2.0? What are the benefits associated with YARN framework over earlier MapReduce
framework of Hadoop 1.0? Precisely What is the difference between MR1 in Hadoop 1.0 and MR2 in Hadoop2.0?
Finally, we concluded both MapReduces.
