Abstract

Today, a larger share of population is pc literate, yet the touch screen has become adopted by computer users of all abilities
because it is simple, fast, and innovative and so the Project Mainly aims for designing electronic menu in restaurant to serve the
customers with the help of touch screen sensor enable screen at tables of restaurants using arduino Mega 2560 and Sketch. There
is no need of a person to take an order from the customers. The menu will be displayed automatically in the screen at a table and
customer can directly order the items with the help of touch screen access based electronic menu. The system consists of a
microcontroller , which is interfaced with the input and output modules, the controller acts as an intermediate medium between
them. The input module takes the input from the touch screen and sends it to microcontroller. The output module will be zigbee
module which makes the communication between the system at table and system at ordering department to instruct the kitchen
department and billing department accordingly. The controller also takes the responsibility to display the menu items on the touch
screen display. At the receiving end the selected items will be displayed on the PC unit through serial communication via zigbee
module.
