Abstract

Power converter is critical component in distributed generation system especially for renewable energy system based
distributed generators. This paper represents analysis of transient behavior for Double Boost Converter with closed loop control by
the use of PI and PID controller. The Converter modelled in MATLAB/Simulink environment. Controlled PWM signal for line
variation and load variation is obtained by means of PI and PID controller. A state space average model of the boost converter has
been developed and by Ziegler Nichol’s method the parameters of PI and PID Controller are obtained. All the simulation results
are obtained using MATLAB.
