Magnetic power transmission system is a system in that transfers torque and power from one shaft to
another shaft of system. Magnetic couplings are mostly used for liquid propeller and pump systems. Transmitted
torques are predicted in this case study. Magnetic gear power transmission takes major advantages over another power
transmission system, due to magnetic gears. They works on the theory of repulsion and attraction. The design and
transmitting torque analysis is overlooked in this paper. Shaft couplings avoids the use of shaft seal, which lastly
wear out and fails from the rubbing of two surfaces against each other. Some underwater propulsion vehicles
and automatically operated underwater vehicles uses magnetic shaft couplings to transfer torque and power from
the electric motor to the propelles. Two dimensional 2D finite-element analysis (FEA) is also further used for
computing the transmitted torques and magnetic fields of magnetic gear sets. The conclusion of this paper are
beneficial for further design procedure and estimation of magnetic gears mechanism.
